Holiday Hair by Claire

Our advanced senior stylist tells how she copes with holiday hair

When it’s comes to summer, I have to be extra cautious with my hair. The reason for this is that I have naturally curly dehydrated hair, alongside being highly coloured and porous. Heat, moisture and UV are a recipe for disaster!

My general daily hair care routine consists of smothering my hair in oils to help keep it supple, hydrating shampoos and conditioners to tackle the dehydration. The Moroccanoil range works wonders for me.

During the summer months, whether at home or away, I try to embrace my natural curls. I love to let my hair air dry as much as possible with my main priority being to manage the frizz and fly-aways.

How do I do it?

Well, without fail, I’ll first use the Moroccanoil Hydrating Cream mixed together with the Moroccan treatment oil. This makes a great foundation for me not to have to harshly take a brush through my hair. I gently comb with a wide tooth comb then scrunch in the Moroccanoil Curl Cream. This cream defines my curls without leaving a crunchy or knotty feel. I then let it air dry, adding a tiny bit of oil once dry and some Wella EiMi glam mist around my ends for some added shine.

It’s fantastic, especially on holiday, to know I can control my frizz and have hydrated natural curls with just a few essential products, as well as being able to wash and go whilst feeling like I’m rocking the ‘laid-back lived in beach hair’ with such ease.

Girls if u have crazy unruly wavy / curly hair that absolutely hates humidity, then all I can say is embrace it. Let us help you find the right products to make your life easier in the heat – and also experience the joy of not having to lug hairdryers and straighteners with you, with all their cables, taking up most of your suitcase weight allowance!

Love your curls
