April Blog

The arrival of April means longer evenings and brighter days. With it also comes our salon reopening on Monday 12th, and we cannot wait to see all of our beautiful clients. I just wanted to update you on the new rules regarding skin testing and information on your first visit back with us.

I also personally wanted to say a massive thank you for your continued support and loyalty. It really means so much to me. In total, my business has been shut for 35 weeks and I'm so grateful we have come out the other side.

Allergy Alert Testing (skin test)

Our insurance company has changed their policies, due to COVID-19 and any vaccines causing sensitivities.

ALL CLIENTS WILL HAVE TO HAVE A SKIN TEST FROM MONDAY 12TH APRIL!

It is mandatory that you please come in 48 hours before your colour service. You may come in from 7 days before your appointment but no later than 48 hours. The exception being if you catch COVID-19 or you have a vaccine within this time period we would like you to rearrange your appointment. For further information please call the salon.

From your allergy alert test date, we now have to repeat it every 6 months or prior to every appointment if ANY of the following change:

Medical/health conditions

Medication changes

Any vaccines administered

New tattoos or similar

This list is not exhaustive the full list will be added to our website soon.

If you have bleach highlights with no toner, then this does not apply to you.

On your first visit back - there will be an extra charge.

We have NOT increased our prices; we have NOT implemented a PPE charge.

However, on your first colour visit there will be an EXTRA product charge of £5-£10 dependent on usage. This is caused by the need of using more product per person due to the length of time from your last appointment.

There may also be an extra supplement charge for our cutting services, this will be at your stylists discretion for the same reason.

Please read our cancellation policy and are rules on lateness and service amendments.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

We also wanted to give you a gentle reminder we're doing everything we can to make sure Samantha Elizabeth Hair Salon is safe and ready for you. Above all else, it's important to us that our clients and staff feel secure coming into the salon.

We are following all government guidelines around social distancing and have also implemented our own precautionary social distancing requirements. Because of the steps we have put in place to increase the ventilation, some days the temperature might be slightly lower than normal. Please take any precaution you see fit on the day of your appointment.

We're looking forward to seeing you soon!

With love

Samantha
